I’ve been tossing and turning, avoiding my dreams
I kill enough hours to mortally wound the day
But by nightfall the day and I are just the same

I’m gonna start a punk band ten years too late
I’m gonna throw off the yoke of the way I was raised
I’m gonna meet the Chief Justice and I’m gonna spit in his face
And God willing I’ll be locked up or taken away

You’re an open book with torn out pages

The same old turn of phrase
